Where your Florin junk actually goes
Most of what leaves a Florin job goes to Kiefer Landfill in Sloughhouse, at a posted gate rate of $61.35 per ton as of 2026-01-01. Kiefer Landfill is open seven days a week, which is why we can run Florin jobs on a Sunday when almost nobody else in this market will.
Hauling it yourself instead? Read our Kiefer self-haul page first: hours, the resident free limits, and what gets refused.
Before that, usable furniture and appliances go to donation, and metal, cardboard, e-waste and green waste get separated out. We keep the weight tickets on every load and we will hand them to you if you want to see them — that is not something most haulers offer and it is the fastest way to tell whether someone is actually disposing legally or dumping on a county road.
Why this matters to your price: gate rates across our service area range from $40.64 a ton at Foothill Sanitary Landfill to $109.25 at Western Placer Waste Management Authority. Routing loads to the right gate is most of the difference between a hauler who can hold a price and one who surprises you at the end.

Florin questions
How fast can you get to Florin?
Florin is about 43 minutes from our Lockeford yard, so it is inside our normal daily route rather than an out-of-area trip, and there is no travel fee.
Where does the debris from a Florin job go?
Kiefer Landfill in Sloughhouse, currently $61.35 per ton as of 2026-01-01. It is open seven days, which is why Sunday service is available in this area. Donation-quality items go to a receiving charity first, and metal, cardboard, e-waste and green waste are separated out. We keep the weight ticket on every load.
Do you serve unincorporated Florin?
Florin is unincorporated Sacramento County, and yes — rural parcels, outbuildings, barns and deep lots are a large part of what we do out here. Long driveways and no curb access are not a problem; we bring the trailer to the pile.
