Towns we serve in Amador County
Each town page has its own ZIPs, neighborhoods, gate and local rules.
Old towns, old houses
Amador is Gold Country in the literal sense. Sutter Creek is a California historical landmark, Plymouth's Trading Post is another, and Jackson, the county seat, is home to the Argonaut and Kennedy mines. In Jackson, Sutter Creek and Plymouth, roughly one home in six was built before 1940. Ione is the exception: it grew as a supply and farm town, and a quarter of its homes went up in the 2000s.
Old houses in small towns are where estate cleanouts come from, and that is the job we expect to do most here.
Where Amador County loads go
Amador County has no active landfill. Its garbage goes through two transfer stations, and the main one, on Buena Vista Road near Ione, posts $168.25 a ton (effective 2026-01-01). We bring Amador loads home to North County Landfill in Lodi at $60.93 a ton (effective 2026-01-01), open seven days. That is why Amador's travel fees sit at the low end of our four foothill counties.
If you are remodeling, keep the weight tickets we hand you: county permits for construction and demolition projects require diverting at least 65 percent of the debris by weight.
Use the free programs first
In Sutter Creek, the garbage franchise includes a spring and a fall cleanup of up to 1 cubic yard for subscribers in good standing, and the hauler picks up bulk items left at the curb on route days and bills the account. In Jackson and Ione, the hauler's guide offers extra pickups if you call 24 hours before your collection day.
When it is more than a cubic yard, or a whole house, that is us.

Amador County questions
Why is there a travel fee in Amador County?
Because a Jackson job is the drive up from Lodi, the job, and the drive back to the Lodi gate. The fee is flat for each town, on your written quote before you say yes, and it sits at the low end of our four foothill counties because Amador loads come home to a low-cost gate.
Where does my Amador junk go?
To North County Landfill on Harney Lane in Lodi, $60.93 a ton (effective 2026-01-01), after usable furniture goes to donation and metal, cardboard, e-waste and green waste are pulled out. You can have the weight ticket.
Do you do estate cleanouts in Sutter Creek and Jackson?
Yes. You get one fixed written bid after a walkthrough, in person or on video, with the travel fee as its own line. Executors who live out of the area never have to fly in.
What about paint and chemicals?
We can't take household hazardous waste. Amador County collects it free for households on the first and third Saturday of each month at the Buena Vista transfer station near Ione.
