Towns we serve in Placer County
Each town page has its own ZIPs, neighborhoods, gate and local rules.
Two kinds of Placer County house
Placer County is really two housing stories. In Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln most homes went up after 1990: Lincoln grew 282 percent between 2000 and 2010, and 61% of its homes date from that decade. Auburn is the other story. It has been the county seat since 1851, and about a third of its homes were built before 1960.
In the newer towns the work tends to be garages, moves and rentals turning over between tenants. In older housing like Auburn's, it is more often an estate cleanout: one family, one house, decades of things.
Where Placer County loads go
Placer County loads go to the Western Placer Waste Management Authority on Athens Avenue in Lincoln, at $109.25 a ton (effective 2025-07-01). It is open every day of the year, so Sunday jobs are possible here too. That gate costs more than the one we use at home in San Joaquin County, $60.93 a ton (effective 2026-01-01), and it is the main reason Placer towns sit in the higher travel zones.
The same site takes household hazardous waste, e-waste and separated recyclables from residents for free every day, and California residents can drop off up to four mattresses and box springs a day at no charge. If you have a pickup and one mattress, go there. If you have a garage, call us.
Use the free programs first
Some of what people call us about is already covered by the town:
- Roseville runs free resident drop-off clean-up days on Saturdays in April and May with the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations.
- Lincoln picks up e-waste and universal waste free every Wednesday by appointment through Public Works, (916) 434-2450, and utility customers can apply for a temporary 3-yard bin.
- Loomis gets a yearly cleanup day through its franchised hauler.
We are for what is left over: the pile that is too big for a clean-up day, the whole house that has to be empty by a closing date, and the remodel debris that has to be gone before the next trade shows up.

Placer County questions
Why is there a travel fee in Placer County?
Because the job does not start at your curb. A Roseville job means the drive up from Lodi, the run to the Lincoln gate and the drive home, and the Placer gate costs more per ton than ours at home. The fee is flat for each town, it is on your written quote before you say yes, and it is the same whether the job is a quarter load or a full trailer.
Do you take Placer County loads to a permitted facility?
Yes. Placer loads go to the Western Placer Waste Management Authority in Lincoln, $109.25 a ton (effective 2025-07-01), and we keep the weight ticket for every load. Ask and it is yours.
Do you do estate cleanouts in Auburn and Roseville?
Yes, and they are the jobs that make the drive worth it. We walk the house in person or on video, you get one fixed written bid with the travel fee shown as its own line, and we photograph anything on your keep list before a single box leaves.
Is Granite Bay covered?
Yes. Granite Bay is unincorporated Placer County and sits in the same travel zone table as the rest of the county. The fee for each town is listed on this page and on the town's own page.
